About

Deepa Mittal, M.D., FACP, is an academic hospitalist and core faculty member for the internal medicine residency program at Dell Med. Her academic focus is on inpatient medicine, where she focuses supervises and trains medical students, internal medicine residents and interns.

Mittal is an active member of graduate medical education and also serves on the clinical competency committee. She advocates for quality and safe patient care and has served as faculty supervisor for many quality improvement projects and poster presentations. She has also developed curriculum, including simulation curriculum for internal medicine residents.

Mittal received her medical degree from LLRM Medical College, Meerut University in India in 1993, where she also completed her internship in March 1994. Mittal completed her internal medicine residency with Austin Medical Education Programs at Brackenridge Hospital in 2001. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
