Fully comprehensive in nature, the Austin/Dell Children’s Medical Center Craniofacial Fellowship offers unique didactic opportunities in both adult and pediatric craniofacial surgery, while also providing exposure to pediatric plastic surgery, training in microsurgical techniques for craniofacial procedures and exposure to both congenital and acquired conditions in children and adults. Integrated with the multidisciplinary Dell Children’s Craniofacial Team, the goal of this fellowship is to develop knowledge and technical ability in treating craniofacial conditions. We are seeking applicants interested in pursuing academic medicine who have strong academic and research backgrounds and performed well in their residency.
The fellowship is based primarily at Dell Children’s Medical Center, one of only 17 Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in the US. Fellows will spend the other 25% of their time at University Medical Center Brackenridge, a Level I Trauma Center servicing Central Texas. In addition, clinical and or basic science research is encouraged during the fellowship year.
